Biography

Carmen Carignan is from an Irish Canadian lineage of intuitives, dowsers, and healers who strongly believed in the power of prayer and faith. Her visions, prophetic dreams and telepathic abilities began at an early age. Carmen is an Angeltherapy Practitioner ® with advanced training and a medium certified by Dr. Doreen Virtue, PhD. She has been a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher for ten years. She is an intuitive healer and national speaker. She truly believes in empowering others toward their own healing, to feel good about themselves as well as to open up to and trust their own intuition. Her training and experience as a healer has validated the strong connection between the body, mind and spirit. It is not unusual in her healings and readings to visualize the chakras and tap into the underlying emotional issues. During her readings, she connects with the angelic realm, spiritual guides, ascended masters as well as deceased loved ones that may come through to provide guidance and clarity in any area of your life. Her heart to heart connection, sense of humor, and down to earth approach enables listeners and those seeking healing to feel at ease as the receive Divinely guided messages and healing.

Carmen is a registered nurse certified in inpatient obstetrics. Her holistic approach to birth in her clinical setting and experience has led to speaking endeavors at birth conferences in the USA. She is a doula (birth assistant) instructor. She is the co-coordinator of her hospital's volunteer reiki program. Carmen owns a private practice called Tranquil Healing on the east coast where she does spiritual healing, intuitive guidance, angel readings, chakra balancing, energy work including reiki, mediumship, and teaches numerous workshops in a safe, peaceful space. She has been on TV, radio and has written numerous articles. As a community volunteer, she has participated in numerous reiki clinics, whole health fairs, YMCA women's retreats as well as an end of life hospice singer.


Besides her healing work, Carmen is a single Mom with three beautiful teenage sons with whom she loves to spend time with. She is a nature lover with an affinity to woods, streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, and birds. A lover of music, she actively sings in a well known local women's a cappella chorus called Animaterra and is part of their percussion ensemble. She enjoys camping, skiing, hiking, kayaking, writing, and traveling.
